Pete and I got married on June 20th at the Crazy Bear Hotel in oxford, so I am now Mrs Holmes. We had the most amazing day. We had a traditional English wedding with a bit of Indian spice thrown in and everything was just perfect even the weather. We had a black tie do so everyone came looking gorgeous.

I had 5 official bridesmaids but all the girls at the clinic wore matching dresses so It looked like I had 15. Who do I think I am!!!! I met Carol of Wedding Belles Banbury through a former staff member Karen Woodman, who sadly passed away last year. Im sure Karen sent her to me as she was a total godsend. I leaft everything to the last minute and she oraganised and fitted my dress and all the girls dresses just 2 weeks before the wedding.

I was lucky enough to have Yasmina Bentaieb do my make up. Francesca Neill assisted. She works on many faces inc girls aloud. Superstylist lee moran of san rizz and my maid of honour Jane Allum did all the hair styling.

I couldn’t believe it, Simon Webbe took a day off from Sister Act to sing for us, and we had some great surprise singing waiters (waiters encore) and dhol players. The djs were fab and I was surprised to see how many people danced to the asian sounds. Apparantly the djs had been giving bhangra dance lessons (something about changing light bulbs and stroking dogs!!)

For some reason there were paparazzi outside which was weird. I don’t know who they were expecting. There were a few faces there but I like to think it was for me because I felt like a real star that day!

Two of my friends, tv producer Jenny Linton and Jadene Bircham turned up heavily pregnant and ready to drop. Thank god we had all my doctors there on hand!!

There was food everywhere, literally, cup cakes hanging from the trees, a chocolate fountain, even an ice cream van. We ate a mix of English, thai and Indian food. We booked a crèche which was a great for both the kids and the parents, Mollys toy box. They entertained all the kids all day and put them to sleep in the evening.

After the wedding we jetted off to the Maldives and had the most romantic relaxing honeymoon.
